After a competitive tendering process the Vehicle and Operator Service Agency (VOSA) has awarded a three year contract to Learning Nexus to provide it with an e-learning health and safety training solution.
Until recently VOSA employees were required to attend in-house training centres for face-to-face training. As well as being costly in terms of time, travel and subsistence costs, scheduling difficulties could lead to delays in training leading to inefficiency. The difficulty of manual administration of the system, coupled with cutbacks and restructuring encouraged VOSA to change the way it provides training.
The Learning Nexus e-learning option addresses all the organisation’s issues. It will dramatically reduce their cost expenditure by allowing everyone access to online learning from anywhere, therefore removing all travel time and associated expenses. The e-learning courses are constantly kept up to date with any changes in legislation so the learners can always access the most relevant courses and content to fit their needs.
Importantly it also provides a full audit-trail of all online Health & Safety e-learning.
Learning Nexus has partnered with Epic (an OGC supplier) to provide the online learning solution to fit VOSA’s needs.
Martin Gray, health and safety Manager at VOSA said “Learning Nexus has been patient and professional from the start, understanding our needs and providing a perfect fit for VOSA’s health and safety requirements.”
