During a programme of lunches and seminars at the Learning Technologies Conference at Olympia on January 25th and 26th, Brightwave says it will demonstrate how e-learning is making a positive and measurable impact for many organisations, as it showcases a number of approaches to workplace learning.

The first Brightwave seminar “Smooth blends: how to add virtual classrooms to the learning mix” (Weds 25th Jan, 11.30am - 12pm) explores the increasingly important role of live online training. This is followed by a lunch-time session that addresses how virtual classrooms can effectively provide bite-sized business and management skills to time-hungry employees.

The focus for Thursday is new approaches to e-learning design, and the lunchtime discussion called “ E-mosaics: agile learning for the workplace in 2012” explores how to move away from current formal models of linear e-learning modules to more versatile self-directed 'mosaics' of learning resources that put the learner at the centre.

In a seminar at 11am on Thursday James Cory-Wright, Head of Learning Design at Brightwave, will look at design innovation and how innovation is not always about major technical advancements. It is often the butterfly moments, the little design innovations that make the biggest difference to learning and performance.

Brightwave Managing Director Charles Gould is clear about the positive role e-learning can play in the current economic climate. Gould said: "We work with clients on smart, often quite ambitious initiatives. Together we achieve some very significant results: from selling new products to operating new business transformation platforms. Used strategically, there's no question learning technologies can help people do their jobs better and deliver a measurable impact for the organisation.”

All the sessions are free to attend however spaces are limited for the lunches. Register at http://www.brightwave.co.uk/learning-technologies-2012/2012-lunches to ensure attendance of the lunch events.
