In a move designed to open up the German e-learning market, LINE Communications has set up a new division in Germany.

Headed up by Klaus Löper and Robert Hohmann who have over two decades of industry experience, the focus will be on the German corporate market. Löper and Hohmann have worked together previously for many years.

LINE says that over the past four years it has developed a significant client base in Switzerland through LINE AG. The company realised that to implement effectively its Central European growth strategy which includes plans to open up the German market they would have to invest in German knowledge. The opportunity to secure the services of Löper and Hohmann provided the optimal combination with which to establish the new division.

Steve Ash, director of sales and marketing at LINE, said: “We are delighted that Klaus and Robert have joined the LINE team. Their wealth of experience and detailed knowledge of the German marketplace provides the perfect platform for LINE to expand our operations across Europe.”

Klaus Löper, country manager for LINE Germany, said: “Both Robert and I are excited to have joined LINE and feel that its range of services, particularly its consulting offerings are going to be very well received in the German market.”
