The UK Ministry of Justice has selected Edvantage Group’s CourseBuilder authoring tool to help its learning services team create a range of in house e-learning programmes.
New guidelines and cost restrictions when creating training led the Ministry to implement a shared service model to facilitate collaboration across all government departments.
The CourseBuilder software as a service (SaaS) content authoring platform enables the learning services team at the Ministry to create, share and collaborate in real time on business specific e-learning programmes for a range of internal clients. The team has worked closely with Edvantage Group’s product experts to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to develop courses to be delivered to 76,000 employees through the Justice Academy’s Learning Management System (LMS). The latest course to be developed is an induction programme for Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS).
Adam Wynyard, head of learning design at Ministry of Justice, said: “Having looked at a range of authoring tools, CourseBuilder was by far the most intuitive and flexible tool we considered. It provided a cost effective solution and came with the full support and back up of Edvantage Group’s learning experts. At no point were our designers left without help and support as they developed their expertise with the tool.”
Edvantage Group is in the process of being acquired by Lumesse in a transaction that is expected to close at the end of the month.
