New chief learning officer at CERTPOINT

CERTPOINT Systems has appointed Denis Finnegan as its chief learning officer to oversee the effective implementation of CERTPOINT Systems' learning platform across its client base.

Finnegan joins the company after 14 years at The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he managed the learning of the company's employees throughout the US and was responsible for introducing a range of learning technologies.

He is also an Adjunct Professor for the University of Connecticut graduate school and a teacher at Southern Illinois University in their Workforce Education program.

Ara Ohanian, CERTPOINT Systems CEO, said: "Denis brings a wealth of practical experience in the application of learning technologies in the workplace, backed up with solid academic credentials." 

Finnegan’s experience with distance learning was one reason for joining CERTPOINT. He said: "The company is clearly extremely innovative in its approach to learning - with particular strength in mobile delivery. It will be great to be part of a team delivering the innovative organizational learning that CERTPOINT makes possible. I believe my wide experience of establishing great distance learning will be of value at CERTPOINT, and I look forward to continuing to learn myself."
