Belfast based Aurion Learning has won a contract to design and develop an online continuing professional development (CPD) portal for the Law Society.
The 'CPD Centre', which will be available in March, will allow users to access a number of features including a training needs assessment tool, a personal development plan, a personal diary, an events diary and a learning reflection area. It will also be equipped with a suite of e-learning programmes to enable the Law Society to deliver training on topics such as the Solicitor's Code of Conduct direct to all portal users.
John Tarry, director of commercial services at the Law Society, said: “Our new CPD portal will transform our membership services. The portal will be available to more than 125,000 users and will allow them to plan, record and manage their CPD activities in one place. It will allow us to create a dedicated online environment in which we can communicate directly with our members, help them manage their CPD activities, provide training, and facilitate knowledge sharing.”
Dr Maureen Murphy, Managing Director at Aurion Learning, said: “This is an opportunity for us to continue our work in developing CPD management solutions across professional bodies in the UK.”
