Three mobile learning solutions currently being developed for the British Army by LINE Communications are due for release in early April.

The MoD claims to be in the vanguard in the deployment of new learning technologies and two of the three projects will be delivered using Apple iTouch. The first of these covers training on vehicle service schedules, and the second will ensure that restricted content gets quickly and securely to the target audience. The third project will deliver complex procedural training via touchscreen tablets.

Keith Downes, director of LINE said: “The defence sector has been an early adopter of mobile learning technologies and these three projects are excellent examples of how the sector pushes technological boundaries to achieve excellent results from learning interventions.”
