Provider of online training for the social care sector, Me Learning, has released an Induction Training suite aimed at practitioners working directly with children, young people and their families.

The Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accredited suite meets the Children’s Workforce Development Council’s (CWDC) induction standards and helps practitioners to understand the Common Core of Skills and Knowledge required by those working with children.

The suite provides eighteen tutorials that when used as part of a broader induction programme helps employers to meet their responsibilities to deliver induction, training and development opportunities.  As well as supporting new and recently appointed practitioners it provides an ongoing resource for all staff to refresh their learning and keep up to date with the latest training developments and Government updates.

The Induction suite meets both Levels 1/2 and 3/4 of the CWDC’s Induction standards and The General Social Care Council (GSCC) Code of Practice standards and can also be used to help people who are working towards childcare related NVQ’s. The CWDC Induction standards have been designed to provide a structured start for workers and help to ensure they are safe to take on the appropriate level of responsibility for the individuals and families they support.

Nick Richards, Director of Me Learning, said: “Me Learning is delighted to release its new Induction Training course in line with CWDC requirements. Induction is a key stage in any career, especially one which deals with the wellbeing of children. The course encompasses every aspect of social care and would accompany a broader induction programme perfectly.”
