Caspian Learning has made its 3D simulation authoring tool, Thinking Worlds, available to businesses and simulation developers with an educational, learning or behavioural change goal.
According to Caspian, Thinking Worlds helps businesses take control of their training needs by allowing them to develop their own 3D learning and training simulations or update and reuse simulations commissioned by developers. Users can develop simulations even if they have no or little coding experience by using inbuilt game mechanics, problem solving tasks, story boarding tools and interactivity templates.
Simulations can be delivered both locally and over the internet allowing them to be played by employees across a company, regardless of location. The outputs can be integrated into learning management systems and are fully SCORM compliant. An annual developer licence costs £999 and allows one user to create and deploy as many simulations as they like.
Graeme Duncan, CEO of Caspian Learning, said: “Thinking Worlds allows trainers, designers, teachers or subject matter experts to rapidly develop their own 3D simulations. These simulations can be endlessly updated and distributed through standard browsers, as well as being easily integrated into standard learning management systems and blended into courses. In short, it brings the power of immersive learning simulations to the reach of the masses.”
