Terms & Conditions of Submission
Please ensure you have read the terms and conditions below before submitting an entry. By submitting an entry into the E-Learning Awards you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
- All entry forms and submissions must be received at the offices of Bizmedia Ltd by 5pm BST on 31 July 2008.
- Bizmedia will not take any responsibility for late submissions.
- All entry fees are strictly non refundable, regardless of whether a submission is finally made.
- The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will entered into.
- All entries must be a maximum of 3,000 words or six sides of A4 paper (whichever is greater).
- Entries should be emailed direct to Bizmedia.
- Please ensure that your entry meets the criteria within the 3,000 words or 6 sides of A4. There is no need to submit additional CD ROMs or company brochures or any additional electronic or printed information unless the criteria for a particular award have specifically invited it.
- Some categories require evidence from learners or users which may be followed up by the judges. In these cases please ensure that your submission includes evidence from your client and include contact details where possible.
- All material submitted may be used by e.learning age magazine and may therefore enter the public domain. If specific information needs to remain confidential then you must make that clear in the submission. Confidential material should form no more than 30% of the content of your submission.
- Submissions in some categories may require a personal presentation to be made to the judges if shortlisted. This should last 30 minutes. Up to another 6 pages of visuals; screen shots of graphical information for example may be submitted prior to these presentations.
- If you are invited to present your submission you should ensure that representatives from your organisation can be available in London on either 23 or 24 September 2008.
- For submissions requiring learner information you should ensure that your presentation includes representatives of the learners where possible.
- If you cannot present in person, you may submit a video presentation supported by a telephone interview, but this must be arranged and agreed with the organisers and judges beforehand.
- Please note that there is no guarantee that the location where the presentations take place will have internet connectivity and those presenting should plan accordingly.
- Any conflicts of interests must be disclosed, for example where a designated judge has a commercial interest in the prosperity of the company making a submission or its client.
- Any canvassing, lobbying or attempted inducement of judges at any time may lead to disqualification.
- Judges and organisers are bound by a clear agreement which prevents them from revealing the identity of winners until after the announcement of the Awards during the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 6 November 2008.

Who are we?
Bizmedia Ltd (“Bizmedia”), publishes e.learning age and is a company incorporated in England and Wales, whose registered office is at Royal Station Court, Station Road, Twyford RG10 9NF, UK. The following terms and conditions listed below will apply between you and Bizmedia for the sale and purchase of subscriptions, sample or back copies, event registrations, entries into the E-Learning Awards or any other good available for sale via this website (“a product”). The terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Notification of changes
By ordering a product you accept these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are subject to change at any time, and it is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions regularly before ordering products in case there are any changes.
Copyright
All rights, including copyright, in the content of these e.learning age web pages are owned or controlled for these purposes by Bizmedia. In accessing these web pages, you agree that you may only download the content for your own individual and non-commercial use. You are not permitted to copy, broadcast, download, store (in any medium), transmit, show or play in public, adapt or change in any way the content of these Bizmedia web pages for any other purpose whatsoever without the prior written permission of Bizmedia.
Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability. Bizmedia aims to ensure that the pricing of products on the web pages is correct at all times, however, the web pages may not accurately reflect the correct details at the moment at which you place your order. Bizmedia cannot confirm the price of a product until your order is accepted on dispatch and Bizmedia reserves the right to change prices without prior notice.
The price payable for Goods shall be the total price plus any VAT, cost of packaging, postage and delivery as specified in the Supplier’s current price list, less any discount agreed in advance in writing by the Supplier.
Your undertakings and warranties
You warrant that the information given on your order form is complete and accurate.
Payment
All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted and Bizmedia will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Supplier all invoices are payable by the date for payment stated on the invoice in pounds sterling drawn on a bank based in the UK or by such other method as is agreed in advance by the Supplier.
Failure to pay all amounts due by the due date may result in withholding of further supplies including subscription supplies in respect of which the customer has made payment in full.
Terms of Supply
Magazine subscriptions run for 10 issues over a full year and no credit will be given for cancellations during the year.
Event registration and E-Learning Awards entries are a one time only payment. No credit will be given for cancellations during the year.
Force majeure
Bizmedia shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver products you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to products delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
Limitation of Liability
Although we take every care to ensure accuracy, we make no warranties as to the accuracy of the information we place on our web pages. The extent of our liability for any breach of these terms and conditions shall be limited to the value of the goods ordered by you in the relevant transaction, however nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit Bizmedia’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of Bizmedia’s negligence.
Invalidity of Terms and Conditions
If for any reason part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions shall not be affected.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Contracts between you and Bizmedia shall be governed by English Law and you and Bizmedia submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
