How do I enter for an Award?

Simply complete the entry form online or print off and send the PDF version and send or fax back. The address is:

What is the cost of entry?

Each entry costs £99 plus VAT. You can enter in as many categories as you wish.
Can I enter into multiple Awards categories?

Yes. Each entry costs £99 plus VAT.
When is the deadline for entries?

The deadline for entries and submissions is 5pm BST on 30 June 2008.
Can non UK organisations enter?

Yes. The E-Learning Awards is open to everyone.
What Awards are offered?

There are 13 Awards. Click here to find out more about the categories and criteria.
Are any of the categories new?
There are 5 new categories this year: These are:
- Best use of rapid e-learning content
- Best use of synchronous e-learning
- Best online or distance learning project
- Best learning game, simulation or virtual environment
- E-learning development company of the year

How do I make a submission?

There is no submission form to complete, therefore, you can include whatever you like in your submission.
However, it should be no longer than 3000 words or 6 sides of A4 and should clearly set out how your entry meet the criteria for the selected category.

It is essential that we receive your submission in electronic format so that we can pass it to the judges. Therefore please email your submission to us.

You should also ensure that you include all your contact details (and those of your client where appropriate) so we can easily contact you.
When is the shortlist announced?

If your organisation has been shortlisted we will contact you direct by 8 September 2008.

We will publish the shortlist on our website and also in the September and October editions of e.learning age.
When will the presentations take place?

If your organisation is shortlisted and has entered a category that requires a personal presentation to the judges, these will take place on 23 or 24 September 2008 in central London. We will contact you direct to arrange a time.

Presentations last for 30 minutes with an additional 10-15 minutes for questions.
Who selects the winners?

The judges are selected by the eLearning Network and all categories are judged rigorously and independently.
When are the winners announced?

The winners are announced on Thursday 6 November 2008 during the Awards evening at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in Central London.

The shortlist will be announced by 8 September 2008.
How can I book a place at the Awards Ceremony?

You can book a table of 10 for £1,800 plus VAT. Alternatively, individual seats cost £195 plus VAT.

Tables and tickets have sold out very quickly in previous years so be sure to book your space now.
Is there a dress code at the Awards ceremony?

Yes. The evening is a black tie event.
What is the format of the Awards ceremony?

The evening will begin at approximately 6.30 pm with a Champagne Reception, followed by a sumptuous 3 course meal. The Awards ceremony will be staged after dinner and we anticipate the ceremony will conclude at 11.00 pm.

Afterwards a casino and disco will be available until 1.00 am and the bar will be open until 2.00 am.
Who organises the E-Learning Awards?

The E-Learning Awards are organised and presented by e.learning age. The judges are invited and co-ordinated by the eLearning Network.
When were the E-Learning Awards introduced?

The E-Learning Awards were introduced in 2005 and have more than trebled in size. They are now in their 4th year.
